he came across a law that refers to Beagles!!!
Cool, huh? See below for wording:

NEW BRUNSWICK REGULATION 84-124
under the FISH AND WILDLIFE ACT

2 In this Regulation,
“hound” means
(a) a Bluetick, Redbone, English, Swiss, Plott, Black
and Tan or Walker hound,
(b) a cross-breed between a Bluetick, Redbone, English,
Swiss, Plott, Black and Tan or Walker hound and
any of the hounds listed in this paragraph,
(c) a beagle, or
(d) a basset;

15(1) Notwithstanding section 13, the Minister may issue a
permit to a person who is the holder of a fur harvester’s
licence or a minor’s fur harvester’s licence that entitles
the holder of the permit to hunt bobcat or fox with a hound
or hounds or rabbit (varying hare) with a Swiss hound, a
beagle, a basset or a cross-breed between a beagle and a
basset during the day in accordance with subsection 33(2)
of the Act during the open season for hunting the particular
species of wildlife in the wildlife management zone in
which that species is hunted.

Le Chien d'Or
I saw this neat thing when I was in Québec City.

The inscription reads:
Je suis un chien qui ronge lo
En le rongeant je prend mon repos
Un tems viendra qui nest pas venu
Que je morderay qui maura mordu

Translation:
I am a dog that gnaws a bone
In gnawing it I take my rest
A time will come which is not yet
When I shall bite him who has bitten me

Golden Dod: stone bas-relief bearing the figure of a dog gnawing a bone.
The stone was built into a house erected by Timothée Roussel in Québec
City in 1688. It may have been set there by Roussel or by Nicholas
Philibert, who bought the house in 1734 and may have used the image to
protest the corrupt practices of Intendant François Bigot. In 1871 the
house was destroyed to make way for a post office, and the stone was
moved to the new building's portico.

The many legends connected with the Golden Dog all turn on revenge and
end in tragedy. One version was the basis for William Kirby's Golden Dog.

This is Reykjavik City Hall. It is really a
cool spot and built right on and in the water.

Foodstuff I Will Suprisingly Not Eat

As you have guessed, I would pretty much eat anything.
Nonetheless, I do have a short list of food I do not like,
along with a few caveats, so here goes:
Celery: Unless there's loads of Cheeze Whiz on it.
Mint: Holy crap I LOATHE mint, just like my idol,
Snoopy; he hates mint too.
Pumpkin: Unless it's boiled, mashed with potatoes,
spiced and spilled on the floor.
Almonds: And I don't know why. Probably 'cause
they are so hard and there is too much work
involved in chewing them.
That's about it. I will keep you updated.

As stated previously, there will be a comic version of
Beaglestar Galactica. Here is a preview of the cover.
Pretty neat, huh?

It should be coming out sometime this summer and will
include a CD with a PDF version of the comic and a fully
voiced version of the cartoon and finally, a small gift.

Feeling Dejected

Apparently the Little Lebowski 'discovered' his hands...Well. whoop. dee. doo.
He discovers his hands (but not his feet) and this calls for a celebration?
I discovered all of my paws only a few days after I was born!
Stupid humans!!!

My Moms and Pops are not spending as much time with me as I would like...
I know they have their hands full with the Little Lebowski...
I know things will get better...
I know they love me...

I cannot help but feel a bit dejected...

New Class

On Saturday, Moms took me to a tracking class.
That's where dogs sniff away and find stuff.
Germain Sheppards like to find people and tackle them.
I prefer to find a bag full of food.
It was great; finally i can put my nose to use!!!
Now we need to practice...

What is tracking?

A Tracking trial is an event to encourage dogs to make use of their strongest facility, the ability to follow a scent trail. The competition emulates the finding of a lost person or article in a situation where the performance of the dog can be fairly assessed. Because of this, the tracks laid are straight-forward, not the wanderings that may characterize a lost person, nor do they include deliberate attempts by the tracklayer to deceive the dog.
